Your Ultimate Foodie Destination
Freemans is always my first dinner destination in New York. I love strolling down Freeman Alley, surrounded by graffiti, to find this hidden gem tucked away at the end. The vibe is effortlessly cool, with its charming wooden decor. Sometimes, I like grabbing a seat at the bar for a more laid-back experience. The menu reflects early American cuisine; simple, rustic and inspired by Old World traditions. A true classic!
I know, I know! Cipriani is a big group but Cipriani Downtown New York is the best of all, it's a classic! The vibe is unbeatable, with the lovely Italian waiters and people watching couldn't be more intriguing. It feels like being in a Mafia Movie. The decor is undeniably stylish and the food is SO yummy. Don't forget to get their famous vanilla meringue cake, it's to die for! it's like biting into a delicious cloud, light as air and probably loaded with sugar.
Katz's Delicatessen is a New York City icon, serving up legendary pastrami sandwiches since 1888. Located on the Lower East Side, this classic deli is famous for its towering sandwiches, matzo ball soup and old-school charm. Don’t forget to grab a ticket at the door and savour every bite! Also get the potato latkes with cream and apple compote!!
Sugarfish has several locations, so you can choose the one that suits you best. I’m absolutely obsessed with this sushi restaurant! Originally from L.A., it’s made its way to New York, and I’m crossing my fingers they’ll come to London too. Their set menus are fantastic but I personally prefer creating my own. My go-to order includes the tuna sashimi, the salmon roll, the Hokkaido scallops (so insanely good) and the sea urchin sushi, if they have it.
I’ve only experienced Juliette for brunch but I can imagine the vibe at night is just as lively and fun. I love the charming French bistro-inspired decor, which sets the perfect atmosphere.
And you absolutely must try their banana stuffed French toast, it’s an absolute showstopper!
