My first morning in Montreal always starts at September Café for a delicious matcha and their incredible pancakes, they are literally to die for! If you have room or are sharing, don’t miss their avocado toast, it’s so freaking good. I’m also a big fan of their banana cake. This cozy, stylish spot has a warm vibe that makes it the perfect way to kick off your day in the city.

Manu Cornuto is an incredible Italian gem! From their famous crudo di branzino to the mouthwatering pesto pasta and every other dish on the menu, everything is simply delicious. The vibe is cool, the wine selection is excellent and they even have a charming deli stocked with unique goodies. It’s a must-visit for Italian food lovers!

Walking into Léméac feels like stepping straight into Paris. From the quick, attentive service to the stunning décor, with its beautiful tiled floors and long bar lined with elegant brown high chairs. It captures that classic French charm. The food is absolutely delicious and it’s one of my favourite spots for a leisurely lunch.

Milos has been an iconic destination for years, embodying the essence of chic Greek dining. With its stunning seafood display at the back, the atmosphere is both elegant and inviting. Everything on the menu is a tasty but the courgette fritters paired with a selection of mezzés are a standout. Get ready for a truly delicious dining experience! cheer!

Chez Nick, established in 1920, is the real Canadian diner that my family and I are absolutely obsessed with. The old-school charm, complete with a long bar and cozy booths, makes it a nostalgic favourite. I always go for the classic eggs with pancakes and their amazing sausages but the real stars are their beans, hands down the best I’ve ever had, and their incredible potatoes.

Dunn's has been a Montreal staple forever and remains timeless.

While the interior may feel a bit dated, it adds to the charm and nostalgia of the place. This iconic spot serves up the best smoked meat and fries, so succulent, you won’t believe it until you try!

I absolutely adore L'Express, it truly feels like stepping into a classic French bistro while indulging in the best brasserie dishes. The atmosphere is charming, with cool photographs adorning the walls and the wine list is exceptional.

You’re all set for a fantastic time!

Foiegwa is a stylish French/ American diner that brings a modern twist to classic comfort food. Known for its cozy ambiance and creative takes on dishes, it’s a perfect spot for indulgent favourites like foie gras burgers, truffle spaghetti and rich desserts.

Gibby’s, set in an 18th-century stable, feels like stepping back in time the moment you enter. Despite its cozy, intimate appearance, the space is surprisingly large and bustling. Renowned for its mouthwatering steaks, this iconic spot lets you choose your favourite cut, sides and a delicious red wine to complete the experience.

A true classic for meat lovers!

G. Lafritte, a clever wordplay in French meaning "I'm pumped," serves up some of the best hot dogs you’ll ever try. In Montreal, hot dogs are a serious business and this one tops the list with its unique twist, the cabbage inside is a must and its unbelievably crispy fries. Pure happiness in every bite!
